Shipping FAQs

When will my package arrive?

All orders are shipped by UPS and should arrive on the date selected during the checkout process. After you place your order, and we create the shipping label, you’ll receive a tracking number by email.

What should I look for when my package arrives?

Your package will be delivered right to your doorstep or business. Check to make sure the box isn’t damaged in any way. If it is, give us a call at (402) 488-8500 for assistance.

When does my order ship?

We ship all of our packages on Monday and Tuesday to ensure delivery before the weekend. If your order is placed after 10:00AM CT you may select expedited shipping at checkout for same week delivery or all shipments will be sent the following Monday.

Do I need to be home when my package arrives?

Nope, the package does not require a signature upon delivery.

Can I select expedited shipping at checkout?

Absolutely, you can choose your shipping speed and get your Amigos fix as soon as tomorrow (where available).

Do you offer same day shipping?

We’ll do our absolute best to get the order out as soon as possible. Your order should be placed before 8 a.m. CST for same day shipping. The best option is to place your order 24 hours in advance.

Can you ship outside of the contiguous United States?

Absolutely! Give us a call at (402) 488-8500 between 8AM & 5PM or fill out the contact us page. As long as we can get it to you within three days, you’ll just pay for upgraded shipping!

How do you keep my food cold during shipping?

Depending on where you are, we use gel ice packs or dry ice. Dry ice is extremely cold at -109.3° F. Avoid contact with your skin. If you receive your package but the dry ice disappeared, no worries – your food should be frozen or cold to the touch when it arrives. If you have any doubts about the temperature when the food arrives, please use a food thermometer.

Can I ship to multiple addresses from the same order?

Yes, you bet! Just follow the on-screen instructions during the checkout process.

Does Amigos take any extra precautions concerning COVID-19?

Absolutely. In addition to following all state and local health mandates about wearing masks and gloves, employees are required to take temperatures upon arrival, no employees displaying symptoms may work in the restaurant, and our food is prepared and packaged in a frequently sanitized kitchen. We are committed to serving safe, sanitary food.

Product Storage & Preparation

What do I do with my package when it arrives?

Make sure the food product inside is frozen or cool to the touch. If it doesn’t seem cold, temp the products and call us at (402) 488-8500 for assistance. You can either place your food in the freezer or follow the heating instructions if you’re ready to enjoy!

If your package was shipped with dry ice, remember it is extremely cold at -109.3° F. DO NOT TOUCH dry ice without gloves. You may leave it in the cooler and place the cooler outside. It will evaporate in 24 hours. For sooner evaporation, use gloves to put it in a closed trash container. Keep out of reach of children.

If your package was shipped with gel packs, you can either discard the gel packs or keep them for future use.

How long will my food keep in the freezer?

We recommend eating the frozen products within 45 days for best taste. The food will keep for longer, but why wait?

How long will my food keep in a refrigerator?

We recommend eating the thawed products within a day. The food will keep for up to 48 hours, but again, would be pretty hard to resist.

Soft Taco, Chicken Soft Taco, Cheesy Burrito Heating Instructions

Keep refrigerated. Please allow 24 hours for items to thaw.

  1. Unwrap Soft Taco.
  2. Microwave Soft Taco on HIGH for 40-45 seconds, flipping after 30 seconds. Be careful not to overheat or tortilla will become crisp.
  3. Enjoy with Amigos Famous Ranch or homemade Spicy Salsa for dipping!

Crisp Meat Burrito, Crisp Chicken Burrito Heating Instructions

Keep burritos frozen.

Air Fryer Instructions (Preferred method) – Use air fryer basket at least 6″ wide or cut burrito in half for smaller fryers.

  1. Cook frozen burritos at 300 degrees Fahrenheit for 15 minutes or until desired crispness.
  2. Serve

Oven Instructions

  1. Preheat conventional oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit
  2. (Optional) Spread 2-3 tablespoons olive oil or butter on baking sheet and warm in oven for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Unwrap frozen burritos, place on baking sheet, and roll in oil or butter.
  4. Bake for 25 minutes, flipping after 10 minutes.
  5. Remove from oven and serve.

Mexi Fry Heating Instructions

Keep Mexi Fries frozen and Mexi Fry seasoning at room temperature. Refrigerate Ranch Dressing and Spicy Salsa. Use within 2-3 days.

Air Fryer Instructions (Preferred method)

  1. Cook frozen Mexi Fries at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 15 minutes or until desired crispness, shaking every 5 minutes.
  2. Remove and sprinkle with Mexi Fry seasoning to taste. Serve with Ranch Dressing and Spicy Salsa.

Oven Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit
  2. Spread frozen Mexi Fries on baking sheet.
  3. Bake for 20-25 minutes until desired crispness.
  4. Remove from oven and sprinkle with Mexi Fry seasoning to taste. Serve with Ranch Dressing and Spicy Salsa.

Sending a Package

Can I customize my order by holding or adding ingredients?

We have tested our products over and over to ensure they taste superb and keep during the shipping process; however, we understand that many people love to customize their orders. Give us a call at (402) 488-8500 prior to placing your order and we’ll make it happen. Please note, that customizing your order might take us an extra day to prepare and package to your specifications.

What is your refund/return policy?

All sales are final, but if an item arrives damaged or not colder than 40°, please call us at (402) 488-8500 for assistance or fill out our Contact Us form and we’ll make it right. We want you to be 100% satisfied with your order.

I have allergies and dietary restrictions; can I still order from Tastes of Nebraska?

Do your products arrive raw or uncooked?

All of our products come fully cooked and prepared. All you have to do is follow the heating instructions and enjoy.
